Work Experience

- ATMEL Berkeley Design Center, Berkeley, CA, Jun-Aug 2002
Summer Technical Intern.
Developed discrete-cosine-transform (DCT)
block filtering algorithms in MATLAB for application in acoustic
echo-cancellation.
- Stanford University,
Stanford, CA, Jan-Jun 2002
Graduate Teaching Assistant.
Assisted in the instruction
of the courses ‘Probabilistic Systems Analysis’ and ‘Introduction to Communication
Systems’, leading weekly homework discussions and review sessions.
- Luminous Networks, Cupertino, CA, Jul-Sep 2001
Summer Technical Intern.
Performed testing and
debugging of the transparent VLAN functionality over a fiber-optic ring packet network. Coded a C program to compute packet metrics at
the ring switches.
- National Technical University of Athens, Greece, Feb-Jul 2000
Diploma Thesis.
Designed and implemented in
microstrip technology the IF, RF filters and PA, LNA amplifiers of a
13GHz TDD satellite transceiver. Measured their performance in the lab.
- British Telecom Adastral Park, Martlesham Heath, UK, Aug-Oct 1999
Summer Technical Intern.
Implemented a network access
server in FreeBSD 3.2. Tested various PPP dial-up access topologies and
compared them in terms of IP address space requirements and scalability.
